The last sentence of that excerpt is I think is what all of this really boils down to with our society. Should there be a just society? Should everyone have the right to medical care, housing, etc.? Clearly, the tea party/republicans do not believe in a just society. You earn your wealth and you shouldn't have to help support others. They do not recognize that not everyone has the same opportunities, etc. If you believe in a just society, you believe that everyone has a right to a place to live and a job and enough food and access to medical care.
