After canning 8 quarts of pickles and 12 pints of tomatoes today, I spent about an hour sitting in a chair rocking, telling myself "this will all be worth it in the winter.....this will all be worth it in the winter....this will all be worth it in the winter..."

It is becoming clear to those of us reading your blog that you need some balance in your life. The stay at home all-the-time homemaker thing is apparently not sitting well with your psyche. I must recommend a part time job to get you out of the house and make the at-home canning time more ... special.
