Day 74 - What We Have Learned So Far

74 days into our "90-days of not buying anything new experiment," and so far we have learned:

* People either think it's a great idea, or they don't see the point and think we're idiots. There is no middle ground.

* Everything is easier when you have a sense of humor.

* Not spending money is a great way to save money--a concept Congress has never grasped.

* "Things" do not make you happy, but they can make home repair much easier.

* Not buying anything brings out one's creative side.

* If you can't resist buying yarn, stay out of yarn stores.

* One is more careful with possessions one won't be able to replace for 90 days.

* It takes a very special person to play along with all my bright ideas. And the occasional white chocolate martini doesn't hurt.
