Note To Self:

When making jam, if a recipe says "cook until thick" do not make any plans for the next 4 to 16 hours.

Do I assume that there is a rather lengthy tale behind this statement?
What a dreadfully unhelpful phrase "cook until thick". In my own experience, reducing any sauce down takes forever, jam probably even longer.
