CHOCOLATE COVERED CINNAMON BEARS!!!! I did not even know such things existed & we will let you know how they are on March 2.
Some fast updates, since it's 11:30 PM:
We have a case of Diet Pepsi chilling in the refrigerator in preparation for March 1.
The Pi shawl is done & will be blocked this week--keeping me ON TRACK for the year so far--truly a record. This is a shot of it in the "almost done" stage:

Still looking a little psychedelic admittedly, but maybe I'm just ahead of my time on the "formal tie-dye" idea. You never know with fashion--who that remembers the 70s would have ever dreamed that ponchos would come back into style?
The new bedding arrived and the cats seem pleased--or can't stand the idea of something in the house without cat hair.

We have our Trail Name!!!!!! "Bananas" and her husband had a send-off party this weekend, and the cops showed up at the non-alcoholic bash because her husband's band played until 8:00 PM. The cops seemed pretty cool about the whole affair--teasing her 71-year-old father about masterminding the whole party--and left after taking down my friend's name & cell phone number, possibly without mentioning the whole disappearing-into-the-wilderness-for-the-next-six-months thing. Since she is now "on the lam" and we are aiding & abetting her, we have chosen "Boris" and "Natasha" as our code names. Now we just need to figure out a way of hiding files in bags of granola............

Snort!! Natasha, best of luck to you supploying your buddy on the lam. I LOVE your Pi Shawl. Tie Dye was very big in our house - the neighborhood we moved from 3 years ago had a gang of tie-dyers. We used to dress our kids and selves in tie-dye to hit the aquarium, etc. Sort of a field trip uniform :)
How much groovier would it have been to wear classy pants, a white tee-shirt and that gorgeous shawl....
